The Constance Group is a Mauritian entity, founded in 1920, and has since 1975 expanded its interests to other sectors such as energy, property development, banking and tourism.
Each of the islands on which Constance has resorts is unique, and the architects took each destination’s distinctive qualities into consideration when designing the resorts, resulting in architecture that embraces rather than detracts from the environment, with the primary use of natural materials in construction allowing the structures to blend seamlessly with the beautiful settings in which they are integrated.
Two of the elements that are consistent in their excellence throughout all the Constance Hotels resorts are exceptional food and fine wines. Constance prides itself on having some of the best chefs and sommeliers, ensuring that employees stay current with worldwide trends by hosting regular gastronomy and wine festivals with internationally acclaimed sommeliers and Michelin star chefs.
Wellness, relaxation and luxury pampering are also part of the Constance philosophy, and each resort boasts Le Spa de Constance, which recommends aromatherapy and promotes the use of products originating from the Indian Ocean Region. Le Spa de Constance distinguishes itself by the Spa Academy, and by Constance Créations where its fragrances are developed.
All of the Constance resorts are family friendly, and each resort has a kids club with programmes designed to keep the youngsters entertained by trained personnel, and babysitting facilities, while the restaurants offer menus for children.
Golfers have two 18-hole championship golf courses to choose from in Mauritius. ‘The Legend’, designed by South African champion, Hugh Baiocchi, is the crowning achievement of Constance Belle Mare Plage and is located along one of the most superb beaches on the island. The annual MCB TOUR CHAMPIONSHIP is held here.
The Lémuria Golf Course, Praslin, Seychelles, is an award-winning 18-hole championship par 70 course that challenges both professionals and amateurs alike. The spectacular course borders the enchanting beaches of both the Small and Grand Kerlan Coves.
Diving enthusiasts are drawn to the deep turquoise blue of the Indian Ocean and its magnificent diving opportunities. The Constance destinations are ranked among the most beautiful marine spots in the world, and it is no surprise then that divers consider Mauritius, Seychelles, the Maldives and Madagascar to be some of the best diving worldwide. All resorts have qualified PADI instructors and dive equipment on hand.
Besides diving, all resorts have plenty of other outdoor pursuits, including tennis, kayaking, fishing, pedal boating, paragliding, kite-surfing, water skiing, and much more.
